Edwin Swanborn (pianist)

Edwin Swanborn will perform in the world premieres of "For As The Soil"  and  "Kol Asher Tomar Eileicha Sarah  (All That Sarah Says To You)"  and "Kol Dichfin Yeitei (All Who Are Hungry)"  and "Who Sings" -- all by composer Charles Osborne; Edwin Swanborn studied with Dr. Anthony Newman at the Juilliard School of Music in New York, and has participated in master classes with Gustav Leonhardt and Anton Heiller.

He is Music Director of the historic First Parish Church in Duxbury, and the Artistic Director of the Candlelight Concert Series of Duxbury, a nationally recognized chamber music series.

Ed is also the Founder-Director of the Boston Baroque Chamber Players, and harpsichordist of the Atlanta Virtuosi.

Solo and chamber music engagements have taken him to all corners of the USA as well as Mexico, Canada, Europe, and Israel.

The Fanciful Flute, five sonatas for flute and harpsichord, by C. P. E. Bach, performed by Fenwick Smith (flute) and Edwin Swanborn (harpsichord). The Grace Note SeriesEdwin Swanborn has also made several compact disc recordings, which have been enthusiastically received by critics and audiences alike.

He also serves on the music staff of Northeastern University, and is the accompanist of The Zamir Chorale of Boston.  Ed Swanborn has been called “the finest collaborative pianist one could ever imagine” by Zamir’s founder and artistic director Joshua Jacobson.
